The Zones of Regulation

Zones of Regulation

by | Jul 22, 2020 | Classroom, Teaching

There are 9 posters in our Zone of Regulation poster pack that is inside the Lizard Learning Club PLUS Membership. Teachers can decide which ones they want to use in the classroom to suit their students for any given year.

There is a program that teachers and schools have found to be very beneficial and that’s a curriculum developed by Leah Kuypers, an autism resource specialist and OT called the Zones of Regulation.

The Zones of Regulation are important in the classroom for students to help them recognise their feelings and emotions by choosing out of four, which zone they might identify with on any given day and within any given scenario during a school day. Once identified, students can move from one zone to another using strategies and tools to improve problem solving skills and the recognition of their emotions.

There are 9 posters in our Zone of Regulation poster pack that is inside the Lizard Learning Club PLUS Membership. Teachers can decide which ones they want to use in the classroom to suit their students for any given year.

The poster pack includes:

The Zones of Regulation. Which Zone Are You in? This poster shows all 4 zones and can be printed as is or enlarged for an A3 wall poster.

2, 3, 4, 5 – Individual posters for each of the zones.

6, 7, 8, 9 – Individual posters for each zone with suggested strategies.
