To unwrap this yuletide treat, simply click download on the link below. This free festive download includes 3 Christmas card templates ready and waiting for your students to decorate. The designs feature a Merry Christmas angel, a reindeer and a card displaying festive song titles. The Merry Christmas angel card is a simple design, perfect for students to colour with pencils or paint. Students can express their own creativity by choosing a colour scheme and designing their own patterns. Colouring and painting between the lines is a great way for young students to develop their fine motor skills. And not only this, colouring and painting are known to be wonderful mindful activities that can help children relax. Next is the fun reindeer in a chimney card. This comical card displays an unfortunate reindeer who is stuck in a chimney. It comes with suggestions on how to collage the template. Collaging is a super sensory experience for students and a fun way to create a 3D card. The final template displays festive song titles. It’s great for music fans! Turn up the festive tunes and sing along in class while your students colour and decorated the titles.

Extension Activities and Fun Ideas:

  • Creative collaging. Our reindeer card template comes with a suggestion on how to collage the card. But why not hand over the creativity to your students. Provide them with a range of materials that vary in colour and texture and allow them to decide which materials to use and where. This offers them to chance to use their own creativity and to experiment with different materials.
  • How did the reindeer get stuck in that chimney? How will it be freed or who will get it out? This card is guaranteed to generate a few laughs and some questions too. Why not have a go at some short story innovation. Inside the card, alongside the greeting, your students could create a short story explaining the reindeer’s unfortunate predicament.
